Guest Eligibility: be aged over 65, living at home, have a life-limiting illness or an serious chronic illness, requiring the support of a carer.
Carer Eligibility: be the in-home carer of the guest such as the spouse/ partner, relative or friend.

Our over 65's day respite is held on Wednesdays between 9 am and 4 pm. Guests and home carers can enjoy up to seven hours of care and pampering, in a relaxed, friendly home-style environment. You are welcome to come for all or part of the day. We have a wide range of activities on offer, each of our guests choose what activities they would like to participate in. The day is not structured so you can have a relaxing day and only participate in what you want to. Home carers may stay and take part in our day respite or leave their loved one to be nurtured by us. Home carers also have the opportunity to come and receive individual counselling and support.
Our day respite service is free for both guests and home carers. Our catering staff will create a delicious morning tea and lunch. Our day respite on occasion includes outings and group BBQ’s for our guests and home carers to enjoy.
Bookings are essential, made directly with our respite manager. At the time of booking, guests will be asked a series of questions to assess how we can best cater to your individual needs. Once your respite is booked you will receive a call back the day before respite, this is to ensure all is well, confirm your booking and arrival time.
Getting to & from Day Respite
Living Well Day Respite does not have its own transport arrangements but on occasion we assist guests that are unable to arrange their own transport to and from respite. These arrangements must be discussed at time of booking, for any volunteer transport arrangements must be made a week in advance of respite attendance. Volunteer transport services are available to eligible guests that are registered on the My Aged Care portal and have selected a preferred transport provider.
